For thousands of years the Christian community around the world has spent and sacrificed to commission the world’s greatest artists to share the greatest story ever told. VU VI VO is continuing this great tradition by boldly commissioning seven of the world’s greatest visual artists to create modern masterpieces depicting the life and ministry of Christ. Together these pieces will form a breathtaking and powerful collection, entitled, “The Vision is Jesus.”
Each original oil will capture a moment deeply important in the Christian faith including: the Annunciation of Mary, the Adoration of the Magi, the Widow of Nain, Christ’s Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, the Crucifixion, Resurrection and finally the Ascension. These works follow in the great tradition of large public commissions ranging in size from 5’x6’ to 9’x6’ in size. Hung individually, these paintings will invite viewers to step into a particular and personal encounter with Jesus; into a moment that changed both a life and all of history forever.
